LIFE THREADS
Life threads is a Spring Summer 2019 collection inspired by the techniques of different Portuguese textile traditions. It transmits the unity, between different generations, that these traditions create. The silhouettes and attitude were inspired by the Portuguese peixeiras (fish woman). The collection was approached in a way that the pieces were seen as canvas were the details (threads) were embedded, just like in Tapetes de Arraiolos. The differen details represent the techniques. The colour palette was taken from the Mantas de Monsaraz. Given this, these traditions are given a very clean aproach.
